Dreambird - a new song released!Dear friends! I consider life to be one of the biggest inspiration for the artist. We dream, we believe, we hope, we live, we find ourselves lost in despair. Thus, we create. The title for the song "Dreambird" came to my mind while I was in the middle of finishing the lyrics. Probably everyone of us has his own "dreambird", whatever should it mean. We finished recording sessions with my friend Alex Vitkovskiy in October 2011, right before I had to leave Odessa to go to Zurich, however, certain circumstances were holding me from releasing the new song. And now with the thrill in my heart I'd like to present you a new single "Dreambird"! Of course, everyone will notice the huge mood difference between "So I Begin" and new "Dreambird". And for me this is a great pleasure to hope that this new song will touch your deepest feelings. I will also happilly appreciate if in case you like the song you get it on iTunes. And now, enjoy this video for a new single "Dreambird". Download free digital booklet (in order to save the booklet to your computer right-click on the link and choose "Save as...")
Freddie Mercury's Lake House: found! Those who read my story about the first visit to Montreux might remember I mentioned a thing which was still one to be accomplished. Yes, I had to take a look at the Freddie's Lake house (or 'Duck house' as it is sometimes refered to) where Freddie used to go find peace of mind and which appears on the Queen's 15th studio album "Made In Heaven" cover. And I did it! (Here are all of the best pictures from this trip.) Still, while the Internet got a lot of questions like 'Where is Freddie Mercury's lake house in Montreux?' or 'How to get to Freddie's duck house in Montreux?' very few answers are given and, moreover, some would lead you to Territet, which, of course, is also connected to Freddie as he had an apartment at Quai de Fleurs there but has nothing to do with the mythic Lake House and therefore makes no interest for us. As I haven't found any particular information on this serious subject I decided to write a detailed guide for the people who'd like to go to Montreux one day.
A meetup with Max and MaryanaIt's now quite rainy here in Winterthur! However, there's no way that fact can spoil a nice evening we just had in Bern or, if to be precise, in Stettlen. Our old friends Maksym Dyedikov (with whom we had been studying and playing together for years) and Maryana Brodskaya (also from my class at the Stolyarsky school) came to play a concert together at the house our friends, family Schmalz. In fact, in a couple of days they are gong to play an audition/competition for.... here even Max was a bit confused to explain but anyway, we are wishing them good luck! ZHdK's Dialogues des carmélites - follow-upHi! I just got back home from our premiere of special version of Dialogues des carmélites and I have to say we are all very excited about what happened this evening on stage. So, those of you who have not attended this performance today (in fact we had a truly "full house") just have to come and see it tomorrow. And now I'm glad to share some more of the exclusive interview (Alma Olite, Dorian Marcel and just a couple of words I managed to say too) footage with you.
Dialogues des carmélites - ZHdK orchestra projectJust wanted to make a quick announcement about what is going to happen in the next few days. We have been working quite hard on the current ZHdK orchestra project since last Friday. Jan Dvorak (from Germany) who also conducts the piece made this special short version of the Francis Poulenc's opera "Dialogues des carmélites" for the string quintet, percussion and, of course, singers. The musicians, students from different countries participating in the production make quite a mixture: Alma Olite Gorraiz as a 1st Violin from Spain, Annie Svedlund (2nd violin) - an exchange student from Sweden, well me, Stas Sagdeyev (Viola) from Ukraine, Meng Qi Li from China playing Cello, Dorian Marcel from Monaco on Double Bass and Gabriel Muñoz Cabrera from Argentina is playing Vibraphone, Timpani, snare drum and other percussive stuff which is so necessary to create the proper mood of this play/opera. Singers are...
