Stas and Max Bachmann (Bern, Summer of 2007)Yesterday happened something I dare to call 'a meeting of the year'. As I am staying in Bern at the moment, I finally managed to meet my old Swiss friends: Max Bachmann, Markus Rösch and Samuel Jungen.

First time I met Mighty Mad Max (the drummer) it was back in 2002 during Ukrainian JSO tournée. It was the time when we had a concert (Swiss and Odessa young people) together at the Odessa philarmony and then we set off to Crimea in order to play a concert in Simferopol. I have to say we probably became friends back then and it was just great to meet up in the future on such occasions as the JSO Sicily tour and of course every time I come to Bern. Stas and Max Bachmann (Bern, January 2011)It was especially memorable when I had a pleasure to stay at Max's place in 2007 during one of the Legato Bern-Odessa cultural exchange trips when we played a concert at the Avenches’ Roman Arena. His parents, Brigitte and Eugen turned out to be really pleasant and welcoming people. Yeah... We spent a lot of time during these few weeks in 2007 with my buddy Max and I must admitt he will always be the one of the most special people in Switzerland for me.

Actually, I met Markus 'Makarov' (the viola player) also in 2002, however, I only got to know him better when I participated in the JSO Sicily tour. We were sitting together in the orchestra back then and I have to say we had quite a good time. And ever since we've been communicating when I happened to come to Switzerland.

Samuel (the violinist) was (and only now I realise it) one of the first people I met from Switzerland 'cause he had been playing in the young chamber orchestra and when they came to Odessa we played together at the 'Children to Children' festival. Since then, when he joined JSO we also managed to meet during my visits to Bern and as far as I remember, back in 2007 Samuel also drank quite a few glasses of beer together with Max and Markus.

Yeah... What a great pleasure was it for me to meet up with these guys again and go for a beer or two.
