Stas Sagdeyev and Alex Vitkovskiy performing Love of my LifeHello world!

We've been working on something with Alex lately. And it's not even one of my songs (yay!). We've wanted to record an acoustic cover for one of the greatest songs, "Love of My Life" (F. Mercury), for a long time. However, what's the point of recording it if it might get deleted from YouTube, right? But since, at some point (I don't know when exactly), YouTube changed the policy, now allowing people to share revenue with the rights owner (thus, compensating unpaid royalties), we decided to do it.

Alex did a great job back in 2010 transcribing Brian May's 12-string "live" version so that it could be played on a 6-string. It was originally done for the "Freddie for a Day" event. This version is actually influenced by several Freddie's and May's live performances. No more words. We hope you'll enjoy it!

The sound in this video is 100% Auto-Tune free. Recorded in one take.

Written by Freddie Mercury

Cover version performed by:
Stas Sagdeyev - vocals
Alex Vitkovskiy - Guitar

Recorded and mixed by Stas Sagdeyev

  • I think that Richard Marx's "Endless Summer Nights" is one of the most beautiful and at the same time one of the saddest love songs ever written. We recorded a "live" acoustic cover...
